A Maze of Interconnected Spires
The Great Spires is an endless plane of rocky plateaus rising high above the clouds. A maze of land bridges connects the dotted spires, each with a climate, weather, and topology confined to itself like an endless world of snowglobes.
The core area of the world is known as the United City Spires, five great cities lead by their Voices, each of whom represent their people and a connection to an ancient power.
Mysthull
Wooden docks surround the great spire of Mysthull. Home of the Aeronautic Order and the greatest shipwrights of the UCS, their mysterious Magewood Grove supplies the lumber to build vast fleets of airships.
The people of Mysthull are lead by Beauregard Cornwallace, a savvy swashbuckler with a big personality, and a bigger hat.
Arcwild
A city of power, a city of technology, and a city of crime. Three rival gangs vie for territory in Arcwild, leveraging the crackling energy of the ancient eel which wraps their city.
The embattled Voice of Arcwild is Agitha Steelhart, whose inventions may very well be the only thing truly keeping the city from all out war.
Goldspire
With more coin flowing than anyone knows what to do with, merchants flock to Goldspire to seek riches and power. A massive and sprawling city, Goldspire is by far the largest spire in the UCS.
The cantankerous Nikolas Willowberry is the Voice of Goldspire, at the end of his days for quite a few days now.
Skyhook
Three large mountainous spires comprise the city of Skyhook, its name derived from the massive network of iron rails used for quick—albeit dangerous—travel between the spires.
Seek strength or knowledge in this city under the stone gaze of Jazz, the Voice of Skyhook. Just don't let her catch you claiming you can out-drink her.
Lelatoll
The mystic waters of Lelatoll flow from atop a rocky outcropping at the north end of the spire. The innate magic in the water rapidly dissipates, causing the water to cool and freeze as it flows towards the south.
The blessings and curses of such arcane dynamism are overseen by Clarissa Brendwick, the loving Voice of Lelatoll.
